This barn is unlike any other. It is 8 feet wide 60 feet long 58 inches tall at the back and 70: tall at the front, it is all steel. The barn is fully movable once it is detached from the ground. It can be picked up with a small tractor or floor jack to let the wheels down. Once the wheels are down the tongue weighs 50 lbs. It can be moved with a small pickup or side by side. It has mounts for solar panel and battery to provide power to the lights. It is attached to the ground with 10 24 inch steel screw augers that can be screwed into and out of the ground with an electric impact. One person can detach, raise, move and then reattach the barn in under 2 hours. This was necessary for rotational grazing. The reason for this particular size of a barn is because it can be pulled through any standard 12 ft ranch gate. A tremendous amount engineering went into this project to insure that one person could move it with common tools. I will provide a full set of prints with the barn if you purchase it. If you are not the purchaser do not even ask for the prints. It was built in 2019 at that time the steel alone cost me 6200 I am sure it is a lot more now. At the time we were raising meat goats and sheep. It has served us well and saved many baby goats and sheep from the cold, wind, rain and snow. This barn is also not taxable on property tax because it is fully movable. This year we switched from goats and sheep to large cattle Brangus, Beef master, and Angus an no longer need this barn. It would perfectly fine for smaller cattle like Aberdeen, Zebu or any of the smaller breeds or even pigs. I have seen as many as 125 kiko and boer goats bed down and sleep at once. I usually set it up with the short side to the north and the tall side to the south so on cold windy days the animals will use it as a windbreak while laying on the south side in the sun. Feel free to call and ask questions.
